Bought this as a gift for a good friend who just bought an M&P, and I did so based on my past experience with this awesome Accurate Iron product ... see my "GRIPTASTIC!" review below.

I like an aggressive grip on my M&Ps. The Accurate Iron stippled backstrap is the way to go!

I've had stippling done on Glocks, and bought M&P stippled backstraps before. Custom work is usually more expensive and takes time. The Make Ready stippled M&P backstrap is right up there for quality and texture -- in fact, I now prefer it to others I have. And it's an off-the-shelf product at a great price ... very pleased and highly recommend it!

Great work. The fine stippling texture is comfortable and gives a solid improvement in grip.

I'm considering having my pistol stipled but am not sure that I want to permanently alter the gun. I thought that I would try a stippled backstrap replacement to see if it provided the additional texture I wanted on my "tactical" working gun. I was very pleased with the quality of the work and relatively cheap price (you're paying for the stippling as well as being able to remove it). It's like pulling teeth to get your own backstrap and stipple it yourself. For $25 and instant gratification this can't be beat. I'm confident that I wouldn't have made as nice a pattern either.
I am very happy with it and believe that it will provide more than enough texture to prevent slippage in wet or sweaty hands while allowing my fingers to flow around the grip easily. When a grip is too sticky it slows draws and makes grip adjustment difficult if you didn't quite get a great grip on the draw.
I'm not saying that some stippling on the frontstrap and support thumb position wouldn't also be nice but this is a very good way to accomplish a grip improvement without permanently altering the gun.
